Ashlee Simpson is now blaming acid reflux for her Lip Synching debacle on SNL. She claims she has a sore throat from acid reflux and decide at the last moment to Lip Synch. Whatever, Personally I don't see it as a big deal any way. Do you really believe most of these singing performances are live anyways.. you can they are too perfect ..manufacture sounds . I don't think most people really care as long as they are entertained.

Pop Music Concerts

The genre of pop music originated from a distinct set of characteristics: memorable melodies, catchy lyrics and often times, songs you just can't seem to get out of your head. For that very reason, it is no surprise that pop music is called just that, because it's simply popular to the masses.

Since then, pop music has spawned a wide array of subgenres that include boy bands to bubble gum pop often selling millions of albums and profitable concert tours, some doing well only off a successful single.

Early pop artists have included the The Beatles, the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson and Madonna (Madonna concert tickets are still in heavy demand ) and all of them have certainly attracted a large following from all walks of life.

But since then, their creditability has taken a nosedive. ‘Modern’ pop artists such as Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys have constantly dealt with controversy by being labeled a pop star.

The criticism comes from the cookie cutter artists record labels are marketing—photogenic and a good dancer. Often times, people will bemoan the fact of another rising teen idol as the previous teen idol just debuted weeks before. Additionally, some of these rising stars do not have the raw talent of other musicians but depend on synthesizers and lip synching. After awhile, a singer’s voice may sound identical to another’s.

Despite the harsh criticism, pop music is here to stay because no matter how hard you try to resist it, the songs will somehow find a place into your memory.
