Bio: Trace Adkins is an American country music artist who released his debut album in 1996. he has had multiple hits including “This Aint No Thinkin’ Thing” & “You’re Gonna Miss This.” All but one of his albums have gone gold or platinum, including his 2005 Songs About Me album which is two times multi platinum for selling over two million copies.
Adkins has also been on numerous television game shows including Hollywood Squares, Pyramid & The Celebrity Apprentice. He has also done commercial voice over work for Kentucky Fried Chicken. Despite being illiterate, in late 2007 he also released an autobiography about his life. Adkins has also appeared in the television series Yes, Dear.
Adkins was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2003. Adkins gained his greatest success with the release of the smash hit “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” which made pop fans gain interest in his music, which has resulted in his increased popularity. The hit made it to the top forty on the billboard charts.
Adkins competed admirably on The Celebrity Apprentice for the charity Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network. Despite being the best competitor through the entire show he ultimately came in second to tabloid editor Piers Morgan. Adkins believes strongly in the cause due to his daughter’s allergies to milk, peanuts & eggs. Shortly after Celebrity Apprentice FAAN had a few large donation amounts.
Adkins also appeared on The Young & the Restless performing his hit “You’re Gonna Miss This” to the two main characters. Adkins has also appeared on the television show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition helping a family design a new home.
In 2009 Adkins started touring with fellow country legend Martina McBride. In early 2010 Adkins left Capitol Records to join Toby Keith’s record label. He just recently released his ninth album entitled Cowboy’s Back In Town.
