Bio: Toby Keith is an American country music singer & record producer. Keith’s “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” topped the country charts gaining him national exposure & was a staple on radio stations throughout the 1990’s. From 1993 to 1998 Keith released four studio albums that didn’t garner him much attention under Mercury Records.
In 1998 Keith signed on with DreamWorks & released the single that made him a household name – “How Do You Like MeNow?” The song came off the album by the same name & was the number one country song of 2000. This album, along with his next three albums all went multi platinum.
After DreamWorks closed in 2005 Toby Keith founded his own label called Show Dog Nashville & has released his last four albums under this label. He also has signed artists such as Trace Adkins & Mica Roberts under the label. Keith has also appeared in films such as Broken Bridges & Beer for My Horses.
Keith also had a smash hit duet with Willie Nelson entitled “Beer for My Horses.” He also had a smash hit in 2005 with the song “As Good as I Once Was.” Keith has also worked side by side with Trace Adkins on a number of tours & projects. Keith is also very involved in USO tours.
Keith has a new album coming out in October 2010.
