Bio: Born in the small town of Checotah, Oklahoma, Carrie began her singing career at the ripe old age of three in her church choir. As Carrie grew up, her passion for singing lead her to perform at different festivals and concerts, first at small home town functions and then later at state fairs. Fans came to know and love Carrie for her exceptional singing talent featured during her run to victory on the fourth season of American Idol, but what some fans might not know about Carrie Underwood, especially if they have not yet attended one of her concerts is that in addition to being an exceptional vocalist, Carrie is also an accomplished musician who plays, both, the piano and the guitar. Fans may also be surprised at some of Carrie's newer material, which is bridging the gap between country music and rock with it's harder edge and more brooding lyrics.
