Bluegrass music sometimes called mountain music and was Americas first real country music. It's a combination blues, rockabilly ,Gospel and  soul ..bluegrass is a music meant to touch the soul.

Bluegrass reflected the lives of country folk in the Carolina's , Tennessee ,Kentucky and Missouri in the 1920'to 1950's. The people  sang about  their daily ups and downs of working and playing in the  rural mountain areas.

During the 1920'sand 1930'' s The Monroe Brothers and the Carter family were the earlier pioneers bringing Bluegrass to the forefront with appearances on the Grand Old Opry the late 1930's.
