Alison Krauss

(Nov 9th 2004) Alison Krauss wins 2 CMA awards for "Whiskey Lullaby" along with her duet partner Brad Paisely.

Alison Kraus signed her first major recording contract at the age of 14 with Rounder label. It's amazing how long Alison has been around as a recording artist and still maintains that wonderful down home (even if home is Illinois)charm; Bluegrasses Dolly Parton.

You cant help but watch Alison perform and not see how much she truly enjoys performing, and with the talent of Union Station backing her up it's easy to why .

Alison began playing the fiddle and winning contests by the time she was 8 years old. She has performed at every major Country and bluegrass venue in the world including the Grand Old Opry.

Alison has won 17 Grammy awards and numerous platinum and gold albums

At least 3 members of the Union Station have won many awards and are solid recording artist on their own including Jerry Douglas on the Dobro , Guitarist Dan Tyminski's latest  fame with O 'Brother Where art Thou ( Man of Constant Sorrow) and Ron Block on Banjo Barry Bales on Bass

Must Have DVD .. Alison Krauss and Union Station Live

Just a fantastic concert in a beautiful Kentucky Theater, Alison showcases her gorgeous voice and she has a terrific sense of humor as you'll see ; as does the everyone in the Union Station. You can tell they don't just perform together but they play together as a family.

Ghost in this House , Touch me for awhile , Broadway ,Oh Atlanta , Lucky One are all personal favorites that Alison performs.
